About

Nice to meet you, my name is Bridget. Welcome to my desk! I like drawing, writing, Russian literature, talking to strangers and armchair psychology.

I was born in 1998 (22 years old as I write this), the third-eldest in a family of seven. I was born and raised in Lewisham, South East London and graduated with a BA in English Literature from University College London (UCL) in 2019. I am half Irish and half Malaysian Chinese and a full Londoner.

I am an amateur artist, note-taker, and observer. This blog documents my art journey. The sketches and ‘copy’ studies you see on this blog will form the basis of what will hopefully develop into an fully-fledged artist’s portfolio of original work. This blog is a place of little beginnings; I admit I am still drawing and painting in borrowed styles and from borrowed compositions. I have always been a late bloomer, and every artist starts off by copying. What you see on this blog is my juvenilia.

I hope the casual reader will find much to inspire them on this blog, and much to enjoy and connect with :-]
